ABNA speech and acceptance

The following is a recording of my speech at the awards banquet.
I wish we had the memory on our phone to record everyone, but we didn't. My husband recorded my speech and acceptance. I do have pictures of each person speaking, but the lighting combined with a phone camera didn't make a great mix. It is captioned since the audio was not professionally recorded.

  1. I just finished your book and I am so thankful to have read it. I connected to the sister relationship and the relationship with the ocean, the mother-daughter struggle and because of you I may be trying to do "lines" at night with my husband. Again, thank-you and please keep writing.

  2. You had me in tears by the end too. Not huge crocodile ones, but those that hurt the back of your throat. The kind where you are really feeling somebody else's joy. Congratulations Regina!

PS - I so wish I could see your AND Justin's faces when she called your name.

    1. thank you. That was such an incredible night. I wish you could see our faces, too, but I think I mostly just gasped and covered my face with my hands. I think. It is a blur.
